A foreign national may buy an apartment, a house or commercial premises in Ukraine. The only restriction concerns agricultural land, and it does not apply to urban property.
The process differs from the usual one in three ways: you need a Ukrainian tax number, the notary needs a clear record of where the funds came from, and some steps have to be done by power of attorney if you are abroad. We handle that part.

Frequently asked questions
Can a foreign national buy an apartment in Ukraine?
Yes. The restriction applies only to agricultural land. Apartments, urban houses and commercial premises are all available.
Do I have to attend the closing?
No, the purchase can be completed by power of attorney. One trip to choose the property usually pays for itself, though.
Does buying property grant residency?
Buying property does not by itself grant a residence permit. That is a separate procedure on separate grounds.
How do I transfer the money?
Through a bank, with evidence of the source of funds. Cash settlement creates needless risk and needless questions for a foreign buyer.
What language is the contract in?
Ukrainian. We arrange translation and an interpreter at the notary.
Can I let the apartment straight away?
Yes. We can take the property into management: finding tenants, the lease, payments and condition checks.
